Forum Rules

edited November 2014 in Announcements
Welcome to the Voxel Quest forums!

These rules apply to all members, including moderators and admins. Violating any of the rules may result in a warning, locked/moved topic or ban.

Above all else, please be polite as you engage with your fellow Voxel Quest players!

1. Be respectful. Personal attacks on other forum members will not be tolerated, even if you feel you have been insulted. If you are offended by another user's post or conduct, try to contact that user directly to try to resolve the issue. In most cases, a single message can solve misunderstandings quickly. If this fails, please contact a moderator for assistance.

2. No images of or links to obscene or offensive content, including but not limited to sexism, racism, incitement to violence, or extreme religious or political views.

3. Despite its prevalence on the internet, bigoted language is frowned upon here. Do not go there.

4. Minors use this board too. While mild swearing is permitted (provided it isn't aimed at another forum member), do not discuss sexually oriented material.

5. Do not disrupt a thread with spam, commercial advertising, hijacking, or intentionally garbled language.

6. No discussion of or images/links promoting or concerning illegal activities, including but not limited to piracy and pornography.

7. No public discussions concerning moderator actions like warnings, bans, or locked topics. If you have a complaint with any moderators actions, send it to staff@voxelquest.com. We take moderator abuse seriously, but the forums are not the place to discuss it.

8. We recommend using the search function before creating a new topic. Many questions that you may want to know the answers to have already been answered repeatedly. Likewise, if you wonder where your topic went, you can use the search function to find your post/topic; we rarely delete things outright and just move stuff around for housekeeping purposes.

9. When posting a new thread, make sure that your topic title is relevant and informative. A thread with a name like "Question?" will not get you the answers you are looking for, and "A Suggestion" will not be found if Gavan is looking for existing suggestions about progression, to give an example.

10. Before you post a new topic, read the Game FAQ! Your topic may be locked, moved, or largely ignored if you ask or suggest something that has been repeatedly addressed.

11. Try to stay on topic.

12. Don't piss off the moderators.
