Since the forums are pretty dead right now, I figured I'd show off the DF visualizer I've been working on.
The project is in Unity at the moment, but I eventually plan on porting it to the VQ engine when I'm able to. (Though the visuals will be quite different, the backend should be similar)
The program connects to Dwarf Fortress over sockets, communicating with a server type plugin that I've also made, which sends over the map data in bite sized chunks of whatever's changed, and then Armok Vision uses a few simple rulesets to assign meshes and materials to everything.
